Giant Panda Guerilla Dub Squad

An Afro-beat roots reggae crew, Giant Panda Guerilla Dub Squad tours nonstop and is known for its impressive, intense live shows. The Rochester-based band includes James Searl (bass/vocals), Christopher O'Brian (drums), Dylan Savage (now that's a rock name) on guitar and Aaron Lipp on organ, piano and vocals.

They've played prestigious festivals like Mountain Jam and Wakarusa, performed in Jamaica, played a concert at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, opened for Toots and the Maytals, the Wailers, Yellowman and others.

With infectious songs with deep grooves like "On the Moon" and "In These Times," Giant Panda has achieved lots of airplay on Sirus XM Radio.

Playing reggae with a jamband sensibility, Giant Panda Guerilla Dub Squad would surely make both Bobs proud (Marley and Weir, that is). The band's motto: "Roots and dub for your meditation."
